I wouldn't usually give a service/product all five stars but I feel in this case it is totally warranted! We visited the Stephouse nearly two years ago for a weekend and fell in love with the place (and the amazing food!) and decided to hold our wedding there. We look at other venues and went to other food tastings in my home town but nowhere compared to the Stephouse hotel for food, quality of service and comfort. It had everything we were looking for and every dealing we had with them was very professional. We stayed a few separate weekends for food tastings and recently to celebrate our anniversary, and each time it has been an incredibly satisfying and rewarding experience. The food has been consistently fantastic (whether eating in the bar or the restaurant) and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Every stay has seen us leaving feeling like we have been on a weeks holiday! I would have no problem recommending this venue as a wedding venue or as a hotel for a short break, and am looking forward to my next stay down at this amazing hotel.

Had a fabulous stay and great value for money. The food was beautiful - steaks were amazing - definately the best we've had in years. Bar staff and reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and service the next morning was to the same standard. The room was lovely and bed extremely comfortable - my only criticism was that the bedside table and the bigger table in the room were stained with what looked like spilt Guinness (it didn't rub off) and they could be freshened up. We will definately come back though!
